Comprehensive Respiratory Services / Delaware's Only Dedicated Complex Respiratory Unit
Cadia Rehabilitation Pike Creek offers the state of Delaware's only dedicated respiratory unit in a skilled nursing/rehabilitation setting. The premiere 32 bed sub-acute ventilator unit is the recent recipient of a Quality Respiratory Care Recognition Certification from the American Association for Respiratory Care.
The beautifully furnished unit offers scenic views and a limited number of private patient rooms. Every patient room is equipped with personal flat-screen TVs, private telephones and bed-side casework/custom cabinetry that houses the latest in respiratory equipment and oxygen lines. As a part of the construction of this new facility, oxygen lines were run throughout key common areas including dining areas, lounges, shower rooms and the rehabilitation gym to allow for able complex respiratory patients to enjoy freedom of movement throughout the center. A variety of seasonal activities and group outings are available to all patients, including those in the Complex Respiratory unit. The quality physical environment combined with the comprehensive respiratory program offered at Cadia Pike Creek are unmatched in the region.
A dedicated team of Respiratory Therapists are on-site 24 hours/day to provide tracheotomy care, ventilator support, and treatments for breathing impairments. Staff encourages residents and families to set realistic, yet optimistic goals regarding rehabilitation. Respiratory Care Practitioners work closely with our medical team to establish a customized plan of care, emphasizing the best possible outcome, including weaning support. Weaning success stories include residents returning home to resume their lifestyles, residents returning home on home ventilators and residents transferring to non-vent nursing facilities closer to their family members.
Cadia Rehabilitation Pike Creek is proud to have been recognized earlier this year as part of an elite group of respiratory care centers. Only 15% of centers across the county have the distinction of Quality Respiratory Care Recognition (QRCR) from the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). Cadia is honored to be a part of this elite group of care centers.

"Those girls in Physical Therapy are top notch. I’ve never met better professionals. Do you know they took the time to explain how my stroke affected me and my strength. They are true professionals and watching them work– it’s touching."
